The Jacksonville University NROTC Unit conducts five days of Orientation & Indoctrination (O & I) training at the beginning of each school year to provide incoming freshmen midshipmen an introduction to the Naval ROTC Program. Four days of the training are conducted at Camp Blanding, an Army National Guard Base near Middleberg, Florida. During O & I, students are introduced to military customs and courtesies, organized physical fitness training, and military way of life. O & I is not a military boot camp. It is a short training period in which students complete administrative in-processing, receive uniforms, and attend periods of instruction that assist them in their transition into the Naval ROTC Program.
Welcome Class of 2012! Check this page regularly for updates during the Spring/Summer of 2008 for information regarding your indoctrination.
